Great Idea #2

My good friend, Laurie Fraser, brought this to me and I screamed! Just when I thought I had seen every cute crafty gimmick- this one was original for me. Maybe you have seen it before, but I have not. Just in time for a little extra something in the stocking.

She presented me this little wooden spool as a thank you note for a shower I hosted for her daughter.
A collector of old ivory wool and felt, she cut and rolled this tiny rosebud and glued on top.

Then as I untied the cotton string, her handwritten note was inside!

Add your own lovely sentiment, quote, Bible verse or greeting. The possibilities, inside and out, are endless...

Thanks for sharing that! I have several thank you's I need to take care of and lots of wooden spools. No luscious, old, wool felt, but I bet I can come up with something.
