It's almost here! Some of you have been eagerly awaiting our 2009 Halloween Open House. You know we do not do it like anyone else and this year, we will not disappoint! For the first time we have added our favorite local artists to sell their handmade originals with a freakish flair. I have also been out gathering unusual goods all summer saving them for this event. Only a few more days.
Thursday we will be CLOSED UNTIL 5:00 when we open for the Artist Reception. The show continues Friday and Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 12-5. Take a look at what to expect:
Paper Theatres (and more) from Greg Johnson
Silhouettes and calligraphy from Diane and Madeline Tompkins

Whimsical paper sculpture by Lesa Dailey
Reworked vintage accessories by Dianne Ripper
Vintage Circus Inspired Photography by Nicole Cawlfield

Looks fun! Wish I could be there. I just got in the mood and started Halloween decorating in my shop!
Oh Debbie I am so excited to see the rest...as a retailer I have a hard time finding such great things. Where do you find all of your unique jack-o-lanterns? There is nothing like them in Oklahoma and I know people would embrace them! Sometimes I feel like we are so behind the times here. I have been trying to get by without going to Market..shame on me, I am going to have to make myself suck it up and go!
Hi Deb! Hope it's a huge success! Loved the article in RH. Will I see you in Texas?
Hugs,
Shelley
Oh, more please.
I am been anxiously waiting for this and so wish I were closer to come and visit. I have two friends, Brandy and Mickie, that are headed your way from Texas during this time and they'll have report just how awesome it was. Hopefully, see you soon, T
Hope to see you guys in Round Top. Probably Saturday night at Leftovers!
Looks fabulous! Wish I could be there!
I just noticed your blog address on the postcard you mailed out to your customers. I LOVE it!!!! I have told just about everyone I know about your blog and they are all going to love it. I'm glad I live close enough to come and shop at your store! I only wish I could afford the furniture! My house would be filled with it! ;0)
Debbie, I wish I lived closer. But like every year, I'll check the blog for photos (can't hardly wait) and then pick up the phone and order some items so perfect. Love the postcard, it was the official start of my favorite time of year receiving it in the mail this weekend.

all the best wishes for a successful sale.....
Ok, I have spent the last 3 days reading every word of your blog going back to the very beginning. I kept thinking that I wish it was in book form, so I could casually sit and look at it and study the pictures carefully.I discovered that I could actually print out some of the pictures which thrilled me!! Now I can look them over very carefully. YOU have inspired me!!
Oh how wonderful it all looks! Wishing I was not so far away here in So Cal so that I could come to shop!! Erin
Oh shoot, I'm going to miss it! It looks like a lot of fun! I'll wait to see the photo here on the blog.

I love your Halloween Freak Show!!! That is the best Halloween Display that I have seen! I absolutely love the doll head idea. That takes the cake!! Fantastic!!
Hi, I just want to tell you that Curious Sofa is my new favorite store. I live in Tampa, FL and we do not have ANYTHING like your store. I wish I could visit in person, the drive over would be a killer though.
So glad to have found your fabulousness via "Where Women Create". Your styling is out of this world---such eye candy for the design-starved.
Wish I were closer and could visit in person!
Best~
