I nearly died yesterday as I stumbled upon Atelier des Ours, a tiny boutique in Uzes, France. Oh to visit this little jewel someday!- but for now, that is what the web is for. The style is not for everyone, but you have to admire such a straight-on vision this artist has to design clothes exactly as she sees. There is not an ounce of compromise in this woman's art. I don't know a thing about her so just scroll through and enjoy and let your own creative nature get ideas. I know mine are a flowin'.
Another,"Why didn't I think of that?" moment: rolled baby tulleused as heads on the mannequins which made me think,
wouldn't it be cool to use giant bee's nests for Spring!
This entire site makes me want to run to the thrift store and startstock-piling clothes. An easy enough to make wool hat.
Be still my heart for these textures and color palette. Detail, detail, detail.
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Now I know why I have held on to a thick cotton under shirt I foundat the thrift store years ago. The button placket is just like this one.
Just once, I want to see someone run outto get their newspaper in the morning dressed like this.

I LOVE their site. I just wish I were thin and rich to afford it all.
That first dress is absolutely beautiful!
In my ever present wildly vivid imagination I am tip-toeing out to get the newspaper in that last gorgeous outfit, however in my exasperating, unfortunately present reality I am gathering not a beautiful string tie robe with ruffles around me but holding my old, beat up ,over sized tee shirt close to my body so as my nipple doesn't poke out the hole !
2nd picture, mannequin on the right, I'd wear that ANY day! Most of the other stuff too for that matter.
Love it! Great find, thank you for sharing.
What a great find...thanks for sharing all the beautiful eye candy!
So if you haven't yet, you should visit the world of beautiful Laetitia!

This is an amazing boutique in the middle of the southern medieval village of Uzés, France. Plan a visit, savor the atmosphere, and don't get sand in your shoes from the unique floor. Ah, not shopping but an experience.
I stumbled upon this site too and fell totally in LOVE with these clothes. Like you say, such a vision, and SO romantic and beautiful, Debbie.
Love your site Debbie. If I could only look breath taking in these outfits. They are so cute brings me back when...

Deb, this fashion style looks a lot like what we are all wearing on the vintage show circuit out here in the Northwest! {And we do what you suggested... haunt thrift & consignment shops to find components to make our own pieces} Thanks for sharing the link to this lovely site!
