CHB Pictorial

Her fans are many, her talents endless and I am humbled to call her a friend. Once again I made the pilgrimage to Fredericksburg, Texas to stand in amazement at the latest creation by Carol and Tim Bolton.

Off main street is an enormous warehouse that Tim and Carol have transformed into their latest antique museum, laboratory collection and retail emporium. I grabbed my camera to document this creation for you. Enjoy the trip.

An enormous, gnarly wood carcass stands at the entrance towering all the way to the ceiling.

My favorite shot looking like some giant Tuscan villa.

Out of all the great stuff in this warehouse, the above wad of string and sketches was what I had to have.

A taxidermy Hyena was a puzzle to Pearl.
Carol called this Beauty and the Beast!

The Bronson Pinchot Project

My friend Carol just sent me a link on a new DIY show from Bronson Pinchot of all people. I have to tell you, I DIED! Seems Bronson has been an antique collector all his life and is currently renovating a home in Pennsylvania.

I watched his kitchen makeover episode on my computer and am headed to the DVR to catch every single episode now. WHY, WHY, WHY is this kind of stuff not on HGTV??? Nothing was repainted in hot pink or turquoise but instead lovely authentic neutrals were reused, salvaged and repurposed everywhere in his home and done with great taste too!!! More episodes here.
Grab a beverage and enjoy.

Feeling Crafty?

Just in from my recent buying trip to Atlanta are 16 new craft provisions to make something, rig a favorite item, save for next time or collect for your next craft day with the girls. Some small, some gifty, some that will make you think outside the box for your next project.

Take a look!

And many new antiques too:
